As you all know, Cassidy turned one last month (still reeling over that one…) and of COURSE, we just had to throw her a big ol’ girly birthday party! Lots of pink, lots of aqua, and lots and lots of yummy treats!
I loved the invitations! Especially since they sort of coordinated with the invitations from our baby shower; I plan to frame them together in Cassidy’s room. I ordered them from tinyprints.com
I got the table cloth, cupcake tower, pink label stickers, and pink stick candy all at Party City
The cute little favor boxes came from Michael’s.
I got lucky one day at Home Goods and found these adorable cupcake liners.
The cupcakes were strawberry with vanilla buttercream and Cassidy’s smash cake was funfetti 🙂
As I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, I sort of had a fun little theme going with sprinkles. I used 4 different kinds, which I thought was kinda fun 😉
A little baker’s twine can add just the right pop of color! (also found at Michael’s)
I found this adorable frame at Hobby Lobby one day for 7 bucks! I thought some sweet pictures of the birthday girl were the perfect decoration!
Cassidy didn’t exactly dive in head-first like we all expected. She ate one sprinkle at a time and barely made a mess!
…and of course Izzy had a good time! 😉

I don’t comment nearly as much as I should but I’ve been following your blog for a few years now … I absolutely love what you did for Cassidy’s 1st birthday!
May I add … I adore the wall of plates you have! If you don’t mind me asking, how did you come to collect all those plates and how do you get them hung up on the wall so nicely? 🙂

I don’t mind you asking a bit! I collected them from all over- garage sales, Home Goods, Target, Pier 1, and some were my great-grandmother’s. All I did to hang them was use the plate hangers found at Walmart in the hardware section. They’re little elastic frames that go around the plate, then you hang the frame on a nail. Simple!

Ooh! Thanks so much for the tip about hanging 🙂 I have started a small collection of plates but unfortunately our apartment walls are lousy and don’t really allow for much hanging … but once we move after getting married, I am totally trying out a “plate wall” 🙂

What a fabulous and sweet-filled first year birthday party!! Cassidy is such a lucky little girl to have a momma like you!! I guess I have to start planning Elena’s…it makes me so sad to think about it though. Why do our babies have to grow up??

I love this! Your table is so girly and so fun. I wouldn’t expect anything different from you. I love that you had an all sweets party because a) I love sweets and b) your baby shower was all sweets. So much fun. What a beautiful day for a beautiful family!

Thanks! I actually got the stand at Hobby Lobby, spray painted it silver, and used my own white plates in it.
